Bait-ul-Hameed Mosque, located at 11941 Ramona Avenue in Chino, California, is an important mosque of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA serving Southern California. The mosque’s foundation stone was laid in October 1987 by Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih IV, and the mosque was inaugurated in 1989 during his visit to California. Contemporary reporting described it as the first Ahmadiyya mosque constructed in California. Over the years, Bait-ul-Hameed has developed into a major center for worship, religious education and community activities in the western United States. The complex includes prayer and educational facilities and has hosted major gatherings of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, including the West Coast Jalsa Salana. After expansion and refurbishment, the mosque reopened in 2009 with additional administrative, meeting and prayer facilities. It continues to serve as a center for daily worship, education, community fellowship and outreach while welcoming visitors interested in learning about Islam and the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
